Q. What is the history of CLAT?
A. In the year 2008 CLAT exam was started. Before that, each law school conducted its entrance exam.
Q. What does the CLAT mean?
A. CLAT stands for the Common Law Admission Test conducted by 19 NLUs( National Law Universities) of India.

Q. Are all the National Law Universities covered by CLAT?
A. No, National Law University, Delhi (NLU-D) conducts its own examination called AILET.
Q. What are the qualifications to appear for the CLAT?
A. Students from any stream can appear for CLAT with or after their 10+2 exam. They must secure an aggregate of 55% or more. Here is a point to note that qualifying students must pass their 10+2 before getting admitted to any NLU’s. If they fail to qualify with the required marks, their admission would be canceled.

Q. Being a girl, is it safe to join NLUs or appear in the CLAT exam?
A. Yes, undoubtedly law is appearing as a great career option for girls. Law is the course for the public interest, their rights, crimes. Over the years, the number of girls has been increasing in NLUs.
Q. Is Law a good career option for the future?
A. Yes, definitely Law is one of the finest career options in today’s world. After NLUs, the candidates are appointed at respective jobs and get a handsome salary. This further gets increased with time, experience & expertise.
